Who is in it?

According to Deadline, Zegler has been cast as Snow White. She is the latest star to tackle the role: Sarah Patterson (Snow White), Lily Collins (Mirror Mirror), Kristen Stewart (Snow White and the Huntsman), and Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon A Time) played her in previous live-action adaptations. Zegler will be the first Colombian-Polish actress to play a Disney princess.

Per Deadline, Disney’s Snow White adaptation will expand upon the original story and include new songs written by with La La Land songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The Girl on the Train screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson will write the adaptation’s script. Marc Platt will serve as a producer.

Marc Webb (The Amazing Spiderman) will direct the film. Webb spoke to Deadline about Zegler landing the role of Snow White. “Rachel’s extraordinary vocal abilities are just the beginning of her gifts. Her strength, intelligence, and optimism will become an integral part of rediscovering the joy in this classic Disney fairytale,” he told the outlet.
